I began working in the (background) music industry in the spring of 1996 by starting up a small company called Satellite Media Ltd. in Budapest, Hungary.
The following year saw the opening of two additional small offices in Warsaw and Prague. Five years and nearly a thousand installed sites later, AEI/DMX Music acquired Satellite Media and integrated it into its structure; the expansion in Central & Eastern Europe continued (Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Russia, Lithuania, and Romania)
Over the next 5 years, by the time the merger in 2006 between Mood Media® and DMX International came around, the CEE business had more than doubled its client base, as well as its revenues. After a full decade of development since its launch, the management baton of Mood CEE was passed onto to a capable junior successor, as I took the opportunity to meet the challenges of a much larger and more mature market, namely that of the UK and Ireland.
Having now lived in England since 2006, currently responsible for an account base of nearly 27,000 customer locations and over 100 colleagues across the United Kingdom, Ireland and my re-inherited area of Central and Eastern Europe, I am excited to witness, and actively contribute, to the transformation of the company from a music entity heritage to a multi-sensorial content and solutions providing industry leader.
